Who runs this site
nicolasabou.com is operated by Origine Strategic Studio Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company working from Montréal and London. We decide what is collected here and why. Contact: nico@nicolasabou.com.
What we collect
Two categories. First, what you choose to send us through the contact form: name, email address, company, project type, and the text of your message. Second, and only if you agree: device type, browser, country-level location, the pages you read, and the ad or link that brought you here.
If you agree and then send an inquiry, we record that the inquiry happened and pass that event to Google and Meta, so we can tell which ads are worth running. The content of your message is never part of that.
Your choice
On your first visit a banner asks whether you agree. Until you press Agree, no analytics or advertising tag loads at all. Declining and ignoring the banner have exactly the same effect. You can change your mind here at any time.

Why we collect it
Inquiry data is used to reply to you and, if a project moves forward, to deliver the work. Analytics tells us how visitors find the site and which pages they read. Advertising measurement tells us which ads bring real inquiries, so we stop paying for the ones that do not.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not buy lists, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
Who receives it
Inquiry data goes to Zoho, which runs our CRM and email. Analytics and advertising data goes to Google and to Meta, under their own privacy terms: Google and Meta. Both process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Nobody else receives it.
How long we keep it
Inquiry data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax and audit purposes, which Canadian law requires. Analytics data follows the Google Analytics retention setting. You can request deletion at any time by emailing the address above.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Québec's Law 25, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. EU and UK visitors have equivalent rights under the GDPR. Email nico@nicolasabou.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes that affect how your data is used will be communicated by email to clients with active engagements.
