NFL Canada needed coverage of a Forward Pass cheque presentation in Châteauguay, one of the program's funding moments for the next generation of Canadian athletes. The brief was event documentation. I saw a campaign film.

It rained hard. The instinct was to scale back, pull tighter on the cheque-handover shots, treat it as documentation in adverse conditions. I went the other direction. The rain became the narrative anchor: a community that shows up regardless, a program that lands where it's needed regardless of conditions, a moment that means more because nothing was easy about it.

I directed an on-camera interview with the woman who submitted her school to the program, documented the moment the funding arrived, and built the visual sequence around the contrast between what the day looked like and what it actually represented. Not ceremony photos. A campaign film.

Delivered a full photo gallery, a directed sizzle reel in horizontal and vertical formats, and raw video selects for the agency to pull from later. The agency trusted the creative decisions on the edit. NFL approved the final cut without revision.
