As an official photographer for Just for Laughs, I covered the festival that brings the international comedy circuit to Montreal every summer: red carpets, galas, and the SiriusXM Comedy Pro line.
Red-carpet work is portraiture under pressure. A few seconds with each name, hard light, a line forming behind. The job is to catch the person, not just the pose.
