Montblanc Store Opening
Boutique opening shot to read like the maison's own catalog. Slow looking, deliberate framing, no event-coverage register.

Intent
Boutique opening shot to read like the maison's own catalog. Slow looking, deliberate framing, no event-coverage register.
Montblanc opened their Royalmount boutique in Montréal. The brief sat in the standard luxury-event genre: shoot the opening night, document the room, produce a recap gallery for the maison and the local press. The risk on luxury openings is that the imagery reads as event coverage. Cocktails. Smiling guests. Speeches. Documentation that proves the night happened.
A maison like Montblanc doesn't need documentation. The brand's archive is already two centuries deep in restraint and quiet objects. The opening imagery needed to read like a continuation of that archive, not like a Tuesday-night event recap.
I shot the room slowly. The brand's products as objects, photographed with the formal discipline of the maison's catalog. Light falling on glass cases. Architectural details of the boutique's interior. People in the frame only when their presence served the brand's posture, not as a record of who attended.
I delivered a small set of frames calibrated for the maison's standards. Print-ready and brand-publishable, without the conventions that read as event coverage.
