Intent

The national head-and-neck surgeons' society, three days in Fredericton. The science, the gala, and the kitchen party, shot as one story.

The Canadian Society of Otolaryngology held its 79th annual meeting in Fredericton: three days of scientific sessions, a gala at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, and a Maritime kitchen party to close.

I shot all three registers as one story. The keynotes and the exhibit floor for the record. The gala for its restraint, green and gold under gallery light, a piper on the legislature lawn. The kitchen party for its warmth, a folk band, flower crowns, faces that forgot there was a camera.

Three days delivered across science, ceremony, and celebration, a medical meeting that looked like a place people wanted to be.
